   This\nsmall Lava Island<\/strong>  is located\nentirely for itself,  and without sand\nbays, almost. (one on the north side),  and\nthere is only one sailboat anchored far out. Here, distances are calculated in  4 aircraft hours at a time,<\/strong>    4  hours\nto the mainChile, do. to Tahiti, 2 x 4hrsT. to NZ, 3 x 4 hrs. to Australia, 4 x\n4 hrs. to Bali etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  \nThe airport has a 5.5\nkm long runway, built by America for the possible space ferries emergency\nlanding on the southern Earth hemisphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

   I was well after a restless night in NZ, and suddenly five hours <\/strong>are lost between Tahiti and here. Villa Tiki’s owner was in the Airport with a name board and a Bougainville flower neckless (LEI). We got a cup of coffee in her tropical garden that surrounds her house. Large room. Spacious, primitive but delightfully quiet. Except for the gallant cocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

   Have\nthis evening eaten Calmers down at the North end of Port. Fine Sunset after a\nrainy day. A nice environment, but maybe deserted parts of the year? Everything\nis lava. Tomorrow, rucksack must be emptied for the first time in five weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

   Have seen in a single day what I came for as well as the atmosphere of the people. Everyone is smiling and helpful. Especially colorful is the large cemetery. The Pacific Ocean is so nice out there on the Horizon<\/strong>. It’s a bit of a thing that all things have come and come from 4,000 km away and transhipped from out there in barges!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  \nCompounds are generally large, and my hostess has, for example, more\nthan 100 chickens and cocks. Bees too. Very Nice. The gents go to all her\ndescendants. She has seven rooms here plus the private to a son and her. She\ntells that the weather on the island is either sun or rain, quiet or windy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  Fell inside with woodcarving Luis Thomas Pate Riroroco, <\/strong>who carves absolutely wonderful with exhibition e.g. at Bishop’s  Museum, Honolulu, walked to Museum was long and hard. Post Office and then Barber, who removed the beard from Australia,s “Outback”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

   After\nthe two, each in a certain violent country (Aus & NZ), I have now come to a\nsilent realization of Existentialism.<\/strong> That was what <\/strong>I was\nlooking for, so now the rest of the travel\/project is once again clean tourism,\nand I will look forward to sharing the rest of my life<\/strong> with my family in\na fine, quiet harmony. (-being  MORTAL).\nI have EXPERIENCED so much in my eighty years. From poverty to “the waxed\nfloors!”<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

   The\nday I get home, Sarah’s mother and father will celebrate her 18th<\/sup>.-year\nday down in K. A. S. Sailing Club. The first grandson, the frontrunner, has left\nChildhood. She got her driver’s license, and will now roam the streets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PS: my host was successful, she lifted AN EXTRA 5$ out of my pocket. Her car was suddenly to be used by the son, and the 100    m to the airport did not cost 3 as to the city, but suddenly 5$. Now it was an  important trip. Alas,  yes. Tourists are like cattle. Here are lots of  “retired” coupl<\/em>es out on the \u201cventure\u201d. Definitely 60 +.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
